In a blog post, the company announced that Waymo's auto-driven cars ran 5 million miles (8.05 million kilometers) of public roads so far and released a video named Waymo 360-degree Experience (Waymo's 360-degree experience).

This video, taken at 360 degrees, not only allows Waymo's cars to take advantage of riders, radar, cameras, computer vision, etc., but also to predict the movement of nearby objects Show me. Indeed, the technology installed in Waymo's auto-driven car can distinguish things 300 yards (274 meters) ahead.

This video was taken while driving in Phoenix, Arizona. That is one of the 25 cities tested in real-world situations such as Waymo's automated driving cars on public roads.

In addition to running 5 million miles on real roads in the city, Waymo has been testing the software for 201 million years ago running a simulation and private test courses totaling 2.7 billion miles (4.4 billion kilometers). According to the company, Waymo's cars will drive about as long as an average American can run for a year.

The reason why we have to do a huge amount of testing is that even one single accident will turn this new industry back. Trust and trust from the general public, this is the biggest hurdle to overcome. Therefore, Waymo says that he wants to reach its level experience where the masses trust the trustworthy tests.

This video can be watched on desktop, mobile, and VR headsets.
