Apple Park: understand why we will never visit Apple's new headquarters campus

Apple Park: An architectural landmark filled with innovation, surrounded by secrets and built on a colossal investment: welcome to Apple Park, Apple's new headquarters campus in Cupertino, California. The enterprise impresses, and not only by the numbers it boasts. Designed to be the workplace of more than 10,000 employees and budgeted for no less than $ 5 billion, the building is shrouded in mystery.

Apple Park, Apple's new "headquarters", is already running normally with its employees, but it can be a dangerous environment for work. That's right: at least two people have already been injured - without needing to go to the hospital, at least - for having come face to face with the company's almost invisible glass walls.

Accidents happen, but this may still give some sort of a headache to Apple under the California labor laws

The structure, which cost the company's vaults about $ 5 billion, or $ 16.2 billion, is comprised of a plethora of impeccably clean glass walls. Apple is proud to have at Apple Park the largest curved glass plates in the world in its four-story structure that looks more like a huge flying saucer.

According to Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, the reason for the suspense is simple: there is a lot of confidential information for those bands, that is to say, unfortunately, those who do not have an apple badge hanging from their chest are just beyond the glass door of the reception. The measure, which may seem unfriendly, is strategic: it preserves the information of the company and generates a whole repercussion on what happens inside the building, which, thanks to neo-futuristic architecture, looks more like a spaceship.

Asked about the possibility of a tour of the venture during an event that brought together the company's shareholders this week, Tim Cook joked, "Keeping the confidentiality of what is in here is basically a condition for my survival today. I'll send you a photo! "

And talking about the photo ...
In recent weeks, photos taken inside the building, posted on Instagram by Apple employees, have begun to disappear from the network. The suspicion is that this is a guideline of the company. The little that remains in the air, however, helps to get an idea of the imposing architecture of the place.

Near the Apple campus, a visitor center
Although access to the headquarters campus is restricted to employees, just cross the street to visit a space prepared by Apple for fans and enthusiasts of the company. Apple's Joint Store, café and "sanctuary", the Apple Park Visitors Center offers interactive activities and exclusive products that can not be found in any other Apple Store in the world.

In addition to having access to iPads that allow you to interact with a futuristic building model using augmented reality technology, visitors can purchase items such as shirts, postcards, and even Apple Park-branded baby clothes. Finally, it is still possible to visit the center terrace which, according to Cook, has a breathtaking view of the neighboring "spacecraft".

For the time being, the Visitors Center is the closest you can get to the Apple Park experience. Unless you take off a company badge, of course.
